Personal data freely input by the user (hereinafter the User) to the site’s forms is used exclusively by vCardFile.com (hereinafter “vCardFile.com” or “the Company”) in order to comply with the Service offered, and to carry out the corresponding administrative, technical, and commercial tasks. Our user’s data will never by provided to unaffiliated third parties that do not know either the user’s URL or any Personal Code the user may have assigned to his or her sensitive information.

vCardFile.com helps with the sharing of business cards containing personal information in digital format. The user chooses which information to include in his or her profile and URLs, including work and personal contact information, photos, and whatever other information the user wishes to share.

If privacy is a concern, the user can reinforce the security of any sensitive data with a Personal Code. This code must be known (or solicited from the account holder) by anyone that visits the URL and wishes to see all the information it contains.

By creating a URL with his or her personal information, the user agrees to the transfer, storage, and transformation of this data, which includes sharing it with any third parties that visit the URL created by the User and provide the necessary Personal Code (in case one is required by the user).

vCardFile.com will agree to the cession of data only when necessary in order to provide users the services agreed to, or to those entities intimately or necessarily linked with the provision of the various services offered by the site, to company employees or collaborators, and to companies or professional firms that collaborate or help with economic, administrative, legal, fiscal, or financial matters.

The access of personnel authorized by the company to client’s data is carried out in a controlled, hierarchical fashion, according to the internal policies regarding the access to and treatment of client data.

Once a user completes the site’s various registration and authorization forms with his or her personal data, the user will then have the right to access, rectify, cancel, or manage privacy options at any time using the tools available on the site, or if necessary by requesting assistance from the company.

The Company takes the privacy and confidentiality of its client’s data very seriously, and to that end has adopted essential security measures to avoid the alteration, loss, treatment, or unauthorized access to this information, thereby guaranteeing its integrity and security. Nevertheless, given the nature of a service aimed at sharing personal and contact information via the internet, the company cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties carrying out an kind of search or attack on the system will not have access to the information associated with a URL, nor the ways that users utilize the site.

Therefore the Company will in no case be held responsible for any incidents that may occur regarding personal data which result either from the appropriate use of the system, nor from an attack on or unauthorized access to the site’s system that is not detectable with the current security measures, nor from user negligence regarding the sharing of URLs, or the safekeeping of passwords, Personal Codes or persona data. The company will also not be held responsible for any use made of transferred personal data by third parties who download this data from the user’s URL.

The information provided by the user must be true. To that effect the user guarantees the authenticity of any data used either to fill out the necessary forms to register for the service, or to create personal URLs or vCard Files. It is also the user’s responsibility to keep this information updated so that it genuinely reflects, at all times, the user’s situation. The user will hold sole responsibility for any false, or imprecise information he or she provides, as well as any damages this may cause the company or any third parties.

If vCardFile.com or its assets are acquired either partially or completely by a third party, any personal data the company holds pertaining to the users may be one of the assets transferred.

A User’s personal URLs can, in some cases, contain links to other web sites as decided by the User or by our affiliates and sponsors. When following any of these links, please keep in mind that they will all have their own respective privacy policies for which we cannot assume responsibility. Please check the privacy policy of any such web sites before providing them with any personal data.

The company reserves the excusive right to change, modify, add to, or eliminate parts of this Privacy Policy at any time, and without prior notice. Staying informed about any changes to the Privacy Policy is always the User’s responsibility. If a User continues to use the Service, or access the Site once any such changes have occurred, he or she will implicitly be accepting the new privacy policy.

The Company expressly prohibits the reproduction, distribution, public communication, total or partial modification, or any other activity that uses the site’s contents and/or software, cited or not, without the Company’s express written consent.

The resolution of any conflict, controversy, or complaint derived from the use of the site, its contents, or any of the products it offers is subject to the current legislation pertaining to the country where the company’s headquarters resides.
